HatchTech Research Team spoke at the workshop of the World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA)

Last week, Dr. Inge van Roovert-Reijrink, Dr. Carla van der Pol and Mr. Jan Wijnen all part of the research team at HatchTech, gave multiple presentations at the combined workshop of WPSA – “Fundamental Physiology and Perinatal Development in Poultry” and “Incubation and Fertility Research Group” in Tours, France.

This bi-yearly workshop provides a share-learning platform for new ideas and information where the results of the latest scientific research about hatchery practices, avian physiology, epigenetics, egg quality and embryo development are discussed. Over 100 scientist and business people attended the workshop and the fully package agenda ensured the right mix between scientific and practical content.

The HatchTech Research Team enthusiastically shared their insights and results about:
• Incubation temperature affects bursa of Fabricius histology of broiler chicks at hatch.
• The effect of feed and water deprivation during transport on post-hatch performance of early fed chicks.
• The effect of various eggshell temperature patterns on hatchability, chick quality, and post hatch performance.
The presentations were received very well with the audience.
