Multiquip increases production capacity of superior-quality broiler chicks
Multiquip Hatchery, based in Maldon (Picton) NSW, Australia, is to extend its broiler hatchery with more HatchTech equipment. With the extension, Multiquip’s production capacity will increase to approximately 2.3 million hatching eggs per week, meaning that the facility will be the second largest in the Australian market.
Because of impressive results in terms of chick quality, the hatchery decided to expand for the second time since its launch in 2012. The hatchery is equipped with the HatchTech MicroClimer setters and hatchers. HatchTech has installed all heating, cooling and ventilation equipment. This turn-key approach has led to outstanding results and excellent chick quality.
“Multiquip is a contract hatchery for large Australian poultry producers. It is important for us that the day old chicks that we supply are of perfect quality. Our good day old chicken is the start of excellent financial results for our customers. Over the last years, we have proven to that our hatchery equipment supplies excellent quality. This has led to an increasing demand, which is a direct reason for this extention,” says Jason Mikosic, General Manager at Multiquip. “We are proud of our growth and are happy to continue our excellent working relation with HatchTech.”
HatchTech’s Commercial Director, Joost ter Heerdt: “We are always proud and happy to strengthen the relationships with our existing customers and grow together with them. The extension of the Multiquip hatchery therefore is great and also strengthens or leading position in the Australian market.”
