Why Egg Sanitation Matters

A clean environment with low bacterial pressure supports embryo development, improves hatchability and contributes to better field performance.

Eggs naturally carry bacterial and viral micro-organisms on their surface. Some can affect embryo viability, while others pose risks to food safety and flock performance. Sanitising eggs before incubation helps reduce this bacterial pressure and creates a healthier starting point for embryo development. This is one of the most effective ways to reduce bacterial and viral contamination of embryos and chicks.

The HatchTech Egg Sanitation Room provides a carefully controlled environment for highly effective sanitation.

Optimal Environment for Sanitation

The Egg Sanitation Room is equipped with patented MicroClimer Technology, featuring Laminar Airflow to create the optimal temperature, airflow and air velocity required for effective sanitation. This ensures a stable and uniform environment, helping every egg receive equal treatment.

Designed for Safety

A gas-sealed construction helps prevent leakage during sanitation. Thermal-insulated doors, durable rubber seals and a special lift-and-drop locking system ensure a secure closure throughout the process.

After each cycle, the room is automatically neutralised and ventilated to remove remaining disinfectant residue. This helps prevent contamination of other hatchery areas and limits personnel exposure.

User-Friendly Control

The Egg Sanitation Room is designed for simple operation. Using the intuitive MicroClimer Controller, the sanitation, neutralisation and ventilation processes can be programmed to start automatically at a predetermined time. This ensures effective and consistent sanitation with minimal operator involvement.

Frequently asked

Your questions, answered

Everything you need to know about our solutions

What impact can egg sanitation have on hatchery performance?

Reducing bacterial pressure before incubation helps create a cleaner environment for embryo development. Effective egg sanitation supports hatchability, chick quality and overall biological performance. By creating a carefully controlled and uniform sanitation process, hatcheries can achieve more consistent and predictable results throughout the incubation process.

How is disinfectant leakage prevented during sanitation?

The Egg Sanitation Room features a gas-sealed construction with insulated doors, durable rubber seals and a special locking system. Together, these features help prevent disinfectant leakage during the sanitation process.

How does egg sanitation support biosecurity?

Effective egg sanitation helps reduce bacterial and viral contamination before incubation. Combined with a controlled sanitation process and gas-sealed construction, the HatchTech Egg Sanitation Room helps hatcheries maintain high biosecurity standards and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

How does the HatchTech Egg Sanitation Room ensure uniform sanitation?

The Egg Sanitation Room uses patented MicroClimer Technology with Laminar Airflow to distribute the chemical disinfectant evenly throughout the room. This creates a stable and controlled sanitation environment, ensuring all eggs receive equal treatment.

Why is egg sanitation important?

Eggs naturally carry bacterial and viral micro-organisms on their surface. Reducing bacterial pressure before incubation helps create a cleaner environment for embryo development, supporting hatchability, chick quality and field performance.
