Last week marked an exciting milestone for Grupo Lusiaves as they celebrated the opening of their new, cutting-edge HatchCare incubation plant in Pombal, Portugal. The grand event was honored by the presence of Lusiaves President, Avelino Gaspar, and the Prime Minister of Portugal, Dr. Luís Montenegro, who jointly unveiled the commemorative plaque.

This state-of-the-art facility, featuring 24 MicroClimer setters and 8 HatchCare hatchers, boasts the ability to produce up to 1.5 million chicks per week, positioning it as the most efficient and animal-friendly hatchery in Portugal. Grupo Lusiaves continues to lead the way in poultry innovation, with the new plant ensuring that every chick has immediate access to fresh water and feed, even during transportation—an extraordinary step forward in animal welfare.

As Grupo Lusiaves celebrates its history, which began in 1986, they remain focused on vertical integration and continuous innovation.
