Small Helper in HTU

Hi everyone!

The holidays are over, and we returning to work with renewed energy and fresh ideas. While everyone is  getting back to work, I have prepared some news from our production for you. Surprisingly, in our previous updates we have never mentioned our small but reliable helper — the UR10 from Universal Robots!

UR10 is the most powerful collaborative robot (cobot) in the Universal Robots lineup, capable of automating tasks with payloads of up to 10 kg without compromising precision. With a reach of 1,300 mm, it easily handles processes such as packaging, palletizing, and operations in production areas where workstations are located far apart.

Most importantly, unlike traditional industrial robots, Universal Robots cobots are completely safe to work alongside people. Built-in sensors instantly detect any contact — the robot simply stops — so there is no need for additional safety fencing.

Flexibility and versatility

UR10 has six degrees of freedom and supports a wide range of accessories: grippers, machine vision systems, sensors, and other tools. Most of them can be installed in just a few minutes and configured without programming.

Fast return on investment

Easy implementation, no need for expensive programmers, and quick reconfiguration make UR10 a cost-effective investment for production of any complexity and batch size.

Now let me share some real-world experience from our production.

UR10 has been operating at our company for the second year already and performs various manufacturing tasks. At the moment, it is configured for producing frames for carts and delivers excellent results: 40 units in an 8-hour shift. A human would need significantly more time to achieve the same output. The robot works steadily and accurately, while the operator only needs to monitor the process.

UR10 is a great example of how modern automation turns ambitions into real results.

And right next to the cobot, a new machine is currently being installed. What it is called and what functions it performs — I will tell you once it is successfully up and running in the metalworking workshop. Stay tuned
