At HatchTech, we create the ideal conditions for incubation, based on scientific research. Providing superior chick quality is part of our DNA, and our knowledge forms the basis of all our solutions.

The HatchTech Research Team strives to share its findings with industry peers. Our researchers often attend poultry seminars and conferences to present research and to learn from other specialists. We publish our results in technical and scientific journals. The knowledge of the HatchTech Research Team can be used to improve hatchability, chick quality, and subsequent performance.

Dr. Inge van Roovert-Reijrink

Inge has been part of the Research Team since 2005. In 2010 she obtained her doctorate in Animal Science. Her PhD project was “Effects of storage and early incubation conditions on egg characteristics, embryonic development, hatchability, and chick quality”.

Carla van der Pol

Dr. Carla van der Pol

Carla has been part of the Research Team since 2011, and has a Master’s Degree in Animal Science. Carla began a PhD project in September 2012. The title of her project is “Improving leg health in broilers through optimization of perinatal bone development”. In May 2017 she recieved her doctoral degree.

Jan Wijnen

Jan Wijnen completed his master programme Animal Sciences at Wageningen University in 2014. At HatchTech he is part of the research team and working on his PhD project. The subject of his PhD is the robustness of broilers and the link between incubation, chick quality at hatch, and performance in the grow out period.
